This rosé is easily enjoyed as a summer sipper but is flexible and bold enough to marry with a wide range of fare, from salads to seafood to backyard barbecue! From the dairy department, try it with fresh goat cheese laced with Provençal herbs. It is medium to plus in body, with medium acidity and finish. It offers flavors of orange zest, red berry fruit, nectarine and apricot. Energetic in the mouth, this Provençal rosé is refreshingly clean and dry. The wine has an inviting nose of fresh red berries, nectarine and citrus. The wine is aged for 5 months before bottling.

Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel after five hours of skin contact. The youngest vines (20-25 years old) are used in order to get a better aromatic profile.

Today, Anne leads the vineyard and cellar work at the winery along with her sister-in-law Véronique who manages the commercial affairs. Big notes of ripe blueberry, kirsch, white pepper, and Provencal herbs show up in the bouquet and on the palate. This wine is what we like to describe as a 'Grenache Bomb' Translated, its rich, spicy, opulent, and pleasure-bent. They began to resurrect a defunct domaine called Murmurium, meaning “the buzzing song of bees.” While the 15 hectare vineyard was in poor shape, the site was organic for many years which help the Pichon’s vision. The wines themselves are named Sauvage inspired by the Pichons’ respect for and attachment to nature. Anne Pichon and her late husband, Marc Pichon, started an agrarian-bohemian life together in the 1990’s when they moved into an abandoned farm house at the base of Mont Ventoux.
